The UWI Pelican ballers opened their Intercollegiate season against the UTECH Knights last Saturday February 25,2012. It was a very intense game as the Pelican girls battled right down to the wire but were unable to successfully overcome the UTECH Knights as the game ended 49-47 in favour of the UTECH Knights. Inspite of the disappointing start to the season, the team is keeping focused on their goals for the Championship and is looking forward to meeting the UTECH Knights again further in the season.
