The University of the West Indies, Mona Pelicans will take on the University of Technology Knights in the first cricket match in the Intercollegiate Championship for this season. The first match will take place on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at UTECH Cricket grounds, match time 9:30am. The Pelicans will host the Knights in a return match on Friday, March 30, 2012 here at the UWI Mona Bowl. The two have met on previous occasions and the UWI Pelicans are optimistic of a win. The team is captained by Jamaica National Representative and West Indian Cricketer Wavell Hinds, the team is also comprised of Chadwick Walton, Jamaican and West Indies representative. The Mona Pelicans are guided by the expertise of Coach Robert Sameuls former National Representative and former West Indian Cricketer.
