UWI Pelicans Badminton team on Sunday, March 18, 2012 defeated Northern Caribbean University in both the male and female matches played at the UWI Bowl. The females secured a 3-2 victory over NCU through the combined effort of Ruth Williams, Guepp Carthy and Shaneike Dellion. The males on the other hand rallied up a 4-1 defeat over NCU, the team comprised of Steven Peart, Leon Lovan, Brian Thompson, Zavier Shimm and Aleck Tomlin. The UWI Pelicans takes on UTECH Knights this Wednesday.
