Throughout the 2011/2012 season the UWI Pelican Badminton team has been serving up victories in very fine style. The teams however met their match in the UTECH Knights in the semi finals of the Intercol Championship; as the male team succumbed to the pressure and was defeated 5-0. The Pelican Females made a valiant attempt and dug deep but in the end were overcome by the Knights 3-2.
The 2011/2012 Intercollegiate Final Championship date has not yet been announced but the UWI female team has secured their spot and will again face off against the UTECH Knights. The girls are excited about having an opportunity of a re-matched and are geared for a long and hard fight for the championship title.
