The year 2012 marks the inaugural staging of the UWI Beach Volleyball Invitational. This two day event runs from April 21-April 22, 2012 starting 8:30am daily. The invitational will be marked with a difference as it signals the official opening of the UWI Sand courts at the UWI Bowl.
The new courts will feature comfortable seating for patrons and on Thursday, April 19, 2012 there will be an official press launch to showcase the courts to the Campus and the general public by extension.
Coverage of the Beach Volleyball Invitational can be seen on Television Jamaica (TVJ). The Invitational will feature teams from UWI, Jamaica, Barbados, Cayman Island and Trinidad and Tobago. It is a highly anticipated event as there will be loads of prizes and surprises for participants and spectators alike.
