Overseas Coaches Participate in UWI Football Festival 

Several coaches from Universities in the United States of America along with local coaches from tertiary institutions were invited to 2nd staging of the UWI Football Recruitment Festival. The event attracted over 100 students who participated in this year’s Manning and DaCosta Cup competitions. The coaches present represented Mercer University, Akron University, University of South Florida, University of Connecticut, Oregon State University, Central Florida University, University of Hartford, McKendree University and St. John’s University among others. The Programme was part of the UWI scholarship recruitment drive while creating an avenue for students who could matriculate and receive scholarships to study overseas. The event took place at the Mona Bowl from January 5-7.The students were given the opportunity to parade their skills against the UWI Football team as well as an All Manning versus an ALL DaCosta Football Team.
