Pro Vice Chancellor and Principal of the University of the West Indies Mona, Professor Gordon Shirley will be hosting a congratulatory ceremony to honour the UWI Mona athletes and the Racers Athletes that participated in the recently concluded World University Games and the World Championships.
The event is scheduled to take place on Thursday October 20, 2011 at 3:00pm and will include a parade, photo graph session and an official awards presentation ceremony. The list of awardees includes double gold medalist and Honourable Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake and UWI’s Hansle Parchment and Jason Young.
The University extends and invitation to all students and staff to be a part of this grand home coming ceremony.
