We are pleased to announce the official schedule for Faculty of Medical Sciences (FMS) Week '26. To provide clarity, FMS Week is an annual series of events organized by the FMS Guild Committee (FMSGC), the highest organ of student leadership at the faculty. Please see the graphic displaying our full schedule of events
1. Come worship with us at our Church Service on Sunday, Feb.1 at the UWI Chapel
2. Come out to our Great Debate on Tuesday, Feb. 3 at LT3 starting at 12:15 PM to hear exhilarating arguments on a matter of topical interest
3. Give the gift of life at our Blood Drive at UWI School of Nursing on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 9 AM (Pre-register here: https://shorturl.at/2NPJp)
5. Give back via our Outreach to Sophie’s Place on Saturday, February 7! Donations can be dropped off at the FMSTRC
6. Run/Walk with us at our Med-Access 5K on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 6:30 AM at the UWI, Mona Bowl. All proceeds go towards FMS students in need (Sign-up here: forms.gle/LPQP1bkDCoLEgqGeA)
Our 7 faculties and 12 professional schools offer more than 200 programmes to some 18,000 graduate, undergraduate and continuing studies students.
The UWI, Mona ranks first in Jamaica among accredited tertiary-level programmes. In 2012, the University was again one of Jamaica’s Top 100 Employers.
