Research Areas:

• Biochemical evaluation of kidney disease – Biomarkers that should be able to detect acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease, and utilized for the management of kidney disease. 

• Lipid profile and oxidative parameters in diabetes mellitus, hypertension and thyroid disorders. 

• Clinical and biochemical profile of monoclonal gammopathies.

• Using serum and molecular biomarkers to predict biochemical recurrence in breast and prostate cancers. 

• Investigation of potential novel biochemical factors in relation to prostate cancer incidence and mortality.

• Novel biomarkers for screening procedures, diagnosis, prognosis, prediction of treatment response, and monitoring of endocrine disorders.

• Laboratory management – audits, accreditation and quality assurance/quality control.
