Professor Figueroa holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physiology, Diploma in Public Health (Dist) and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degrees from the University of the West Indies, Mona.
Professor Figueroa also completed the Certificate in General Management at Administrative Staff College and the Diploma in Health Financing & Planning at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
He holds a PhD in Epidemiology - the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
