Aerobic and Resistance Exercises Modulate Fibroblast Growth Factor-21 (FGF21) Level in Menopause Women with Type II Diabetic

DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2016.551
Pages:
Synopsis:
Aerobic and resistance exercises lead to increase of serum FGF21 levels in menopausal women with type II diabetes mellitus. Increased FGF21 level mediates beneficial effects of aerobic and resistance exercises on glucose and lipid metabolism in these patients.

ABSTRACT

Objectives: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between exercises with the serum FGF21 levels and glucose and lipid metabolisms in menopause women with type II diabetic.

Correlation of Cataract with Serum Lipids, Glucose and Antioxidant Activities: A Case-control Study

Issue:
Pages:
230–4
Synopsis:
This paper compares lipids, fasting glucose and oxidative stress marker profiles in patients with cataract with healthy age/sex-matched controls. There are statistical differences between cases and controls in these categories.

ABSTRACT

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the relationship between cataract development and serum lipids, glucose as well as antioxidants in a case-control study.
