According to the 1996 classification of the International Society for the Study of Vascular Anomalies (ISSVA)/Mulliken, vascular anomalies may be classified as simple (capillary, lymphatic, venous and arterial) or combined.
Haemangiomas were first described by Payne in 1869. In the literature, their coexistence with various diseases of the female genital tract has been reported. Our case differs in in that a postmenopausal woman had a mucinous cystadenoma in one ovary and an incidentally discovered cavernous haemangioma with focal positivity for progesterone receptor (PR) in the other ovary.
