On February 19, 2026, a three-member procurement team from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) visited the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at The University of the West Indies, Mona (The UWI, Mona), Mona campus to engage with teams involved in the STRIDES and SWARM-CR projects, along with representatives from The UWI Mona Bursary.
The meeting was hosted by Professor Michael Taylor, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), and provided an opportunity for the visiting procurement specialists and project stakeholders to review procurement procedures and discuss best practices. Discussions centred on strengthening procurement processes across both projects, with a focus on improving efficiency, ensuring compliance with CDB procurement policies, and enhancing accountability in project implementation.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to support effective project management and ensure the successful execution of initiatives funded by the Caribbean Development Bank.
