Computing Undergrad shines at International Computing Conference

Zaria Chen Shui, an undergraduate student in the Department of Computing, presented a paper on "A High School Camp on Algorithms and Coding in a Small Island Developing State" at the 55th Technical Symposium of the Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education hosted March 20 -23, 2024 in Portland, Oregon. The conference had an acceptance rate of under 35%.

The paper was co-authored with Dr. Daniel Fokum, Ms. Kerene Wright, Prof. Gunjan Mansingh, Prof. Daniel Coore (Department of Computing, The UWI Mona) and Orr Paradise (University of California, Berkeley). The paper documented lessons learned from the second iteration of the JamCoders camp.
