Three members of the Climate Studies Group, Mona (CSGM) participated in the International Conference on Regional Climate-CORDEX 2019 (ICRC-CORDEX 2019), which was held in Beijing (China) from the 15th-18th October 2019. CORDEX 2019 brought together the international regional climate research community, focusing on high resolution climate information and its applications to vulnerability, impacts and adaptation and the full spectrum of potential end users of regional climate information. Professor Michael Taylor (Dean, FST) delivered a keynote address during the Opening Plenary focussed on the Special report on 1.5 degrees. Dr. Tannecia Stephenson (Head, Department of Physics) gave an overview of Newly endorsed Flagship Pilot Studies of CORDEX in addition to chairing a session and being a member of the planning committee for the international conference. Dr. Leonardo Clarke (Physics) presented a research poster. Over 400 participants from all over the world participated in the conference.
