Dr. Donovan Campbell (Head, Department of Geography and Geology) was recently appointed by the United Nations as one of 25 global experts to lead the World Oceans Assessment (WOA) from 2021-2025. The Group of Experts will coordinate hundreds of experts from around the world (pool of experts) to prepare the third integrated assessment of the world’s ocean at the global level. The WOA is the major output of the regular cycles of the Regular Process for Global Reporting and Assessment of the States of the Marine Environment, including Socioeconomic Aspects.
