Dr. Kurt Prospere Receives a MOTA

On Tuesday June 4, 2019, The Mona Office of Graduate Studies and Research announced the recipients of the Most Outstanding Thesis Award (MOTA) for the academic years 2016/17 and for 2017/18. One of the two awardees for 2017/18 was Dr. Kurt Prospere - a recent PhD graduate from the Department of Life Sciences. Dr. Prospere’s PhD was awarded with High Commendation and his thesis investigated the Quantification of Ecosystems Services in the Black River Lower Morass: Technology Choices and Management Options. Dr. Prospere’s research was supervised by  Dr. Kurt McLaren and Prof. Byron Wilson (both from Life Sciences). Other MOTA awardees announced at the ceremony held at the Vistori’s Lodge were Dr. Ingrid Hunt Anderson (PhD Educational Psychology), Dr. Shadae Foster (PhD Biochemistry and an FST BSc graduate), and Dr. Jacqueline Coore Hall (PhD Gender and Development Studies). FST is proud of the excellent research done by Dr. Prospere and the other MOTA winners.
