FST Alumni take on the World

In the 2022-2024 Erasmus Mundus master's programs, FST Alumni Jevaughn Henry (Department of Geography and Geology) and Renée Duhaney (Department of Computing) have emerged as distinguished graduates, embodying the program's core principles of academic excellence and global exposure.

Jevaughn Henry's academic journey began with the Copernicus master’s at the University of Salzburg, concluding at Palacky University Olomouc in the Czech Republic. Reflecting on his Erasmus experience, Henry emphasizes the transformative cultural exchange with classmates from diverse backgrounds. Beyond academic gains in geoinformatics, remote sensing, and cartography, he credits hands-on projects and internships for equipping him with practical skills and positioning him as a future expert in geospatial technologies.

Renée Duhaney's traversal through the CYBERUS master’s program spanned France, Estonia, Spain, and culminated at the University of Luxembourg. Beyond cybersecurity principles, she gained vital soft skills in entrepreneurship, EU law, and collaboration, enhancing her communication and presentation skills. Duhaney's language proficiency and intercultural adeptness make her a standout professional.

Henry and Duhaney encourage prospective students to embrace the 2024 Erasmus Mundus program. Henry advocates for resilience in the application process, quoting Wayne Gretsky: "You miss 100 per cent of the shots you don’t take." Duhaney advises aspiring applicants to craft compelling motivation letters, secure documentation early, and seek assistance when needed.
