In honour of International Women’s Day 2024, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) invited Pearl Bergan, MPhil student in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, Mona and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow, to join over 400 female scholars at the IAEA headquarters in Vienna, Austria from March 7-8, 2024. The event was held for awardees of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme and Lise Meitner Programme to exchange ideas and strengthen their networking and leadership skills. P. Bergan was the only representative from a Caribbean university and one of only two Caribbean women in attendance.
