As the new academic year approaches, The Fcaulty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus is gearing up to welcome both new and returning students with a comprehensive Orientation Session set to run from August 26-30, 2024. The orientation is designed to provide essential information, support, and a sense of community for students as they embark on or continue their academic journeys.

The orientation will be divided into specific days to cater to the needs of different groups of students. New students will have their own dedicated days based on their surnames, while returning students will also benefit from tailored academic advisory sessions.

Schedule Highlights:

Day 1 – New Students (Surnames A-M): August 26, 2024 New students with surnames starting with letters A through M are invited to attend the first day of orientation. This day will focus on introducing students to campus life, academic programs, and available support services.

Day 2 – New Students (Surnames N-Z): August 27, 2024 The second day will accommodate new students whose surnames begin with letters N through Z. Participants will receive the same comprehensive introduction as their peers from the previous day.

Day 3 – Academic Advisory for All New Students: August 28, 2024 All new students will have the opportunity to meet with academic advisors. This session will provide personalized guidance to help students plan their academic paths and make the most of their university experience.

Day 4 – Academic Advisory for All Returning Students: August 29, 2024 Returning students will have their own dedicated advisory day to revisit their academic plans, explore new opportunities, and receive guidance on the upcoming semester.

Day 5 – Academic Advisory for All Returning Students: August 30, 2024 The final day of orientation will offer additional advisory sessions for returning students to finalize their academic schedules and preparations for the new year.
