The University of the West Indies, Mona, regrets to inform you that our former colleague, Dr. Madge Greenfield died on February 18, 2021.

Dr. Greenfield was employed to the University of the West Indies, Mona in 1971 as a Lecturer in the Department of Zoology (now Department of Life Sciences). She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in 1974 and served the university as Head of Department and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences (now Faculty of Science and Technology) before her retirement in 1995. Dr. Greenfield continued in service to the university up to 2001.

In light of this death, The UWI flags will be flown at half-mast on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 and on the day of her funeral. The University extends condolences to the family and friends of the late Dr. Greenfield.
