FST Physics postgrad student Dawin Morna is currently at Columbia University (New York) on a 2 month exchange under a Columbia University - UWI Collaboration agreement. Dawin is pursuing research on 2-D Materials in the Mechanical Engineering Department, under the supervision of Dr. Wayne Archibald (UWI Mona, Engineering), Dr. Tanya Kerr (UWI Mona, Physics) and Columbia staff members. He is also working alongside two graduate students from Columbia. Dawin's visit is the first in a series of engagements between UWI and Columbia University that are anticipated under the agreement.
