The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST), partnered with The UWI community in celebrating Administrative Professionals’ Day that was internationally recognised on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

Mrs. Rosalene Simmonds, Administrative Officer of the FST and Chair of the Interfaculty Committee of Administrative Officers, joined forces with the Campus’ senior Administrative Officer for each Faculty to host a virtual Roundtable Panel Discussion under the theme, “Levelling Up.” Following Greetings from key stakeholders on the Mona Campus including Dr. Marina Ramkissoon (Director of Human Resources, The UWI Mona), a riveting and enlightening discussion followed which comprised a panel including the Human Resources Specialists, Ms. Naomi Holness (Chief HR Officer, Grace Kennedy & Company Limited) and Ms. Kaydian Morris (HR Relationship Manager, Sagicor Group Limited) as well as Mrs. Marvette Facey-Thompson (Acting President of the Association of Caribbean Higher Education Administrators, ACHEA). The forum was well received by administrative staff in the Faculties as well as by the wider Campus community.

Following the online session, the administrative staff in the FST were acknowledged and feted in fine style by the Faculty’s management team, led by Dr. Sherene James-Williamson (Acting Dean) who echoed appreciation and gratitude for the support provided by this group.

The Faculty expresses gratitude for the sterling contributions of all administrators who continue to serve with pride and with excellence and play their part unreservedly in ensuring the FST remains the Faculty of greatness. Again we salute and thank our administrative staff, at all levels, and wish for them a Happy Administrative Professionals, Week.
