The launch of the Meteorological Service of Jamaica's third 'Weather, Climate, and Climate Change' quiz competition for primary and preparatory schools was held on Friday, May 31 in the Undercroft at The UWI, Mona Campus. The launch was attended by students, sponsors, partners, and other supporters. Speakers at the launch stressed the importance of climate knowledge for all, but particularly for children, who will develop future adaptation and mitigation solutions to build the resilience of the country. The competition offers an opportunity for students to gain greater understanding of the subject while testing their existing knowledge. The Quiz is co-sponsored by The UWI through FST. The quiz will be hosted in the Faculty of Science and Technology on Friday, June 14.
