Mona Student Chemistry Chapter nominated for an American Chemical Society ChemLuminary Award

Each year the American Chemical Society (ACS) recognizes local sections, divisions and International Chapters at the ChemLuminary Awards for outstanding outreach activities promoting Chemistry. This year, the ACS Jamaica International Student Chapter was a finalist for the Global Engagement Award for their staging of CHEMFEST2020 - an exciting virtual chemistry festival featuring participants from around the world. For the award, Jamaica was competing against international ACS chapters from Brazil, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and Pakistan. Peru emerged the eventual winners from this stellar grouping when the awards were announced at the 23rd Annual ChemLuminary Awards ceremony held virtually on Thursday, October 21, 2021 during National Chemistry Week. Congrats ACS Jamaica on copping this global nomination. Well done!
