For over 50 years the Department of Chemistry, UWI Mona has been inviting top-ranked researchers in the fields of natural products, medicinal chemistry, biotechnology, and related disciplines to share their knowledge and interact with staff and students. This biennial meeting, known as the Mona Symposium, provides exposure to cutting edge research in the chemical and biochemical fields with presentations given by participants from the USA, UK, Japan, Switzerland etc as well as practitioners from the UWI, and other local and regional universities.
