New Research | Optimization and Decision Making using Fuzzy Mathematics

Recently, fuzzy set theory plays a vital role to model the uncertainties whenever one has the incomplete, imprecise or vague information about the data are known. In this UWI Mona - led research by Dr. Diptiranjan Behera (Senior Lecturer, Department of Mathematics) an alternative new methodology for solving an epistemic uncertainty such as fuzzy-based linear programming problem with equality constraints has been developed. Comparisons have been made with the existing results for the validation. It has been found that this new method is very easy and straight forward to apply. This research findings definitely can assist scientist in decision making and has lots of applications in finance, management, economics, industry etc.
