The Jamaican Mathematical Olympiad (JMO) officially launched the Junior and Senior Mathematics Olympiad competition in November 2024. The launched included a media coverage by CVM Television morning programme “Sunrise CVM”. Mr. Ajani Ausaru, a JMO coordinator represented the committee. The Junior and Senior Olympiad qualifying round opens until December 13, 2024. The first round of competitions are expected to commence January, 2025.
The Jamaican Mathematical Olympiad is coordinated by the Deaprtment of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Technology, The University of the West Indies, Mona. Since inception, over 20,000 students have partcipated in the competition. For more details email math@uwimona.edu.jm.
