NPI welcomes new Research Fellow

Dr. William Irvine was born in Jamaica and attended Ardenne High School before migrating to the United Kingdom. He obtained a BSc in Medical Biochemistry at Leeds University. He subsequently migrated to New Zealand where he pursued an MSc and PhD in Computational Biochemistry. Dr. Irvine is a Structural Bioinformatician with a special interest in the use of molecular modelling and other computational tools to characterise the role of protein-membrane interactions in disease and to evaluate protein-ligand interactions on the path to drug discovery. He has recently returned to Jamaica and taken up the post of Research Fellow at the Natural Products Institute (NPI).

The Faculty welcomes Dr. Irvine. We look forward to having him as part of the team!
