Re-ENGAGE: Physics Alumni Entrepreneurship Expo

On Wednesday, November 27, 2019, The Department of Physics hosted the first Mona Physics Alumni Entrepreneurship Expo and Social. The aim of the event was to highlight the entrepreneurship exploits of our alumni while creating a space for reconnecting with other alumni and with current staff and students. Ten businesses were showcased and included:

• AD Johnson Crafts

AD Johnson Crafts provides crafts, memorabilia and wall art for decorating room spaces and buildings.

• AquaFlow Product & Services Ltd.

AquaFlow’s mission is to enhance the quality of people’s lives by improving their access to water.

• BAZZLE Amusement

BAZZLE Amusement BAZZLE Amusement produces and provides communication development services to individuals and companies here in Jamaica in the form of videos, images, websites, mobile apps and literature towards social change for the Caribbean.

• Caribbean Value Investor

Caribbean Value Investor Caribbean Value Investor is an investment media company focused on promoting and enabling value investing in the Caribbean region.

• Naturalis

Naturalis is a company economizing precision agriculture using technology.

• PEER

PEER aims to make the learning environment more interactive using technology.

• PreeLabs Ltd.

PreeLabs Ltd. Is a company that focuses on electronic product development and custom automated solutions.

• MoyaMoments

MoyaMoments is a photography company featuring breath-taking landscapes, cloudscapes and scenery to transport viewers to a relaxing escape.

• REDIS – Renewable Energy Design & Installation Services Ltd.

REDIS is a service-oriented company specializing in engineering, procurement, installation, project management and consulting for renewable energy systems and electrical networks.

• IM Farms

M Farms IM Farms use teleconnections between agriculture and science to improve quality, yields and production efficiency.

     

 The range of business pursuits was admirable and spanned energy, education, agriculture, photography, woodwork, stocks and water.  We thank our alumni, staff and students for their participation.
