The University of the West Indies, Mona, regrets to inform you that our colleague, Mrs. Beverley Hurlock-Cox, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.
Mrs. Hurlock-Cox was initially employed as Cleaner on June 26, 1989 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences in the Department of Advance Nursing Education. She was transferred to the Department of Physics on January 1, 1998 where she occupied the position of Departmental Attendant II. On August 1, 2016, Mrs. Hurlock-Cox was promoted to the position of Laboratory Attendant I and worked in this position until her untimely death.
In light of this death, The UWI flags will be flown at half-mast on Monday, October 3 and on the day of her funeral on Sunday, October 23, 2022. The service will be held at the University Chapel at 1:00 p.m.
The University extends condolences to the family and friends of the late Mrs. Hurlock-Cox.
