Another edition of the Basic Skills Training Workshop - Train the trainers was held from December 17-19, 2019 at the Biotechnology Centre.The aim of the workshops is to facilitate Biotechnology Training for high school teachers across Jamaica. There were ten (10) trainees at the December staging hailing from the College of Agriculture, Science and Education (CASE), Bog Walk High, Happy Grove High School, Cedar Grove Academy, Edwin Allen High School and the Scientific Research Council. There was also participation from a private candidate. The training was facilitated by Prof. Helen Assemota, director of the Biotechnology Centre. Overall about 36 teachers have been trained over the multiple staging of the workshop..
