Chauntelle Parkins of The UWI's Port Royal Marine Laboratory will be the guest on The Archipelagic and Island States Forum's Instagram on Monday March 14, 2022.The event aims to inspire youth, especially women, to be bold on taking action and jump into STEM, or any other challenging major, to tackle environmental issues. In addition, promoting awareness about environmental protection and marine science importance for the future.

The Archipelagic and Island States Forum (AIS Forum) was initiated in 2017 by the Manado Declaration as a platform to bring together 47 archipelagic and island states to collaborate on the following four thematic areas of cooperation:

    I.    climate change mitigation and adaptation;
    II.   the blue economy;
    III.  marine plastic debris; and
    IV.  good maritime governance.

The AIS Forum serves as a platform for meaningful collaboration and the sharing of expertise to generate inclusive, smart, and innovative solutions among archipelagic and island states and their partners. Follow our social media (@aisforum) and website (aisforum.org) to stay up to date with our competition, events and programs that encompass archipelagic and island states challenges.
