UWI Recognizes 13 FST Staff Members as Unsung Heroes in 75th Anniversary Celebration

In a celebration of the University of the West Indies' (UWI) 75th Anniversary, the Faculty of Science and Technology proudly extends congratulations to twelve administrative and technical staff members who have been recognized as Unsung Heroes as part of the 75@75 initiative. These awards specifically acknowledge individuals who have played pivotal roles in ensuring the efficient functioning and ongoing success of their Faculty, often working diligently behind the scenes.

The honored awardees from the Faculty of Science and Technology are:

  • Caribbean Centre for Research in Bioscience:  Karen Stewart
  • Chemistry: Tracia Johnson-Blair and Stephen Mighty
  • Computing: Donna Burke
  • Dean’s Office: Miriam Lindo (retired), Nadine McEwan, Rosalene Simmonds and Terry-Ann Collins-Fray
  • Life Sciences: Sophia Davis, Claudia Lewis and Patrice Francis
  • Mathematics:  Orinthia Fisher-Howe
  • Physics:  Margaret Little
