Professional Ethics

Semester 1

Course designed to outline the ethical responsibilities of professionals operating within a healthcare facility. The course includes principles of ethical conduct to help medical physicists perform their duties and conduct themselves in a professional way, and guidelines to help medical physicists interpret and implement the principles. As part of the multidisciplinary healthcare teams, medical physicists have ethical obligations towards themselves, fellow colleagues and patients as they perform professional, educational and research related activities. A good understanding of the
fundamental ethical principles, and the implementation guidelines is necessary.
