CSGM and ICARUS Teams discuss the TOPIM Model

On Friday, July 26, 2024, Professors Michael Taylor and Tannecia Stephenson, Co-Directors of the Climate Studies Group Mona at The UWI Mona, met with Randy Aird, an FST alumnus, and Irish Climate Analysis and Research Units (ICARUS) team members Drs. Samantha Hallam and Jade Hallam from Maynooth University (Ireland).

Randy and the ICARUS team led the development of the Tropical cyclone Ocean-Coupled Potential Intensity Model for the West Indies (TOPIM). Professor Donovan Campbell, an FST alumnus and current Principal at The UWI Western Jamaica Campus, is also a member of the team. The meeting explored opportunities for further collaboration to expand access to and enhance the utility of the TOPIM Model.
