Rickardo Anderson, a graduate student from the Department of Physics, and Jhadae Leslie were among the over 600 individuals across 13 different categories who were awarded the prestigious Dr. Barry Wint Scholarship by the Ministry of Health and Wellness. Rickardo and Jhadae, who are pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Medical Physics, were the only two individuals selected in the Medical Physics category, highlighting their academic excellence and commitment to advancing the field.

The Dr. Barry Wint Scholarship, valued at JMD 2.5 billion, is a highly competitive award that recognizes outstanding students and professionals in health-related disciplines and aims to support the development of healthcare professionals in Jamaica.
