THE CCEP Facilitates Training in SIP Development in Antigua

From August 2018 to April 2019, the CCEP managed a consultancy in Antigua and Barbuda in which twenty-four (24) school principals were trained in developing School Improvement Plans. This training programme sought to equip principals and other school administrators with the competencies required to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate a School Improvement Plan. The training was also designed to enable participants to acquire an advanced technical understanding of the fundamentals of participatory strategic planning such that they will be able to serve as facilitators in School Improvement Planning subject to their acquisition of the necessary skills in adult learning and facilitation.

Among other things, the learning and competence objectives of the training were designed to enable the participants to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate a School Improvement Plan; analyze school performance data as well as construct crisis management, risk-mitigation (including safety audits), and disaster management plans.
