PARTNER SCHOOLS

This programme will last for 6-7 weeks, starting in February 2024. The pilot project will be implemented with approximately 120 parents and 25 teachers in 3 diverse early childhood institutions in Kingson and two similar institutions in the UK.

BLOOM EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE (Jamaica)
Bloom Early Childhood Centre of Excellence Jamaica is a university laboratory preschool for children between three months and five years. They recently opened on January 7, 2019. They use unique resources and affiliations to ensure that all children realize their full potential in a high-quality environment. They serve families from middle to high socio-economic backgrounds.

JAMAICA HOUSE BASIC SCHOOL (Jamaica)
Jamaica House Basic School is a demonstration basic school (a school where methods of teaching are new and innovative - thereby allowing for others to be trained to teach in the same manner) that caters to children from 3-6 years of age from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. They offer a curriculum that goes beyond the traditional focus of developing literacy and numeracy, to exposure to a foreign language, performance arts, games (chess), and sports. The school is located in a quiet part of the capital city, Kingston.

NATIONAL WATER COMMISSION CO-OPERATIVE CREDIT UNION BASIC SCHOOL (Jamaica)
The National Water Commission Co-operative Credit Union Basic School is a welcoming pre-school with an enrolment of 103 students. The families that the school serves are from diverse socio-economic backgrounds who are generally supportive of their children.
