A lecturer in the Sociology Unit, Department of Sociology, Psychology and Social Work. She has over ten years of experience teaching statistics in the department and analyzing quantitative data. Her skills training includes use of various statistical software such as Stata, Statistical Packaging for the Social Sciences (SPSS) and Census and Survey Processing System (CSPro). She also has advanced training in multivariate data analysis, including Structural Equation Modelling. She obtained all three degrees (BSc. Sociology and Psychology (minor) - with First Class Honours, MSc. Demography and PhD Sociology) from the University of the West Indies, Mona. Dr. Facey’s research interests involve sexual and reproductive health of adolescents and women, care of older adults, and HIV/AIDS knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours.
