Indera Persaud, LL.B., LEC

Ms Persaud is an Attorney-at-Law, and Tutor in the Legal Aid Clinic, Norman Manley Law School. She is the Honorary Counsel for Guyana to Jamaica also represents Guyana as Head of Delegation at the Annual Meetings of the International Seabed Authority.   

Ms Persaud is a member of Bar in Jamaica and in Guyana, and she has been a member of the Editorial and Publications Committee, Jamaican Bar Association as well as Secretary of the Guyana Bar Association.

Ms Persaud has had extensive experience both in academia as well as in legal practice, including as Researcher and part-time Tutor at the Institute of Development Studies, University of Guyana and as Legal Advisor at the COK Co-operative Credit Union Ltd.

Ms Persaud has actively served various civic committees and organizations, including as Director, Friends of Sir John Golding Rehabilitation Centre, Member, Consular Corp of Jamaica, Royal Commonwealth Society, and the Earl Warner Trust.
