
Lorna E Green, BSc, MBA
Ms Green has been an ICT Entrepreneur since 1994 operating a business she conceived and launched –Digital Transtec Ltd (DTL) where she serves as CEO and Chairman. DTL is the only ICT firm of its kind owned by a female in the English speaking Caribbean, and it specializes in the development of software applications for the Aviation and Mobile Gaming industries. Prior to this refocus in its core business, DTL was among the top five firms in Jamaica supplying and servicing computer hardware and networks to major public and private sector entities.
Ms Green is Chairman and part-owner of the Caribbean’s largest animation studio, GSW Animation—Reel Rock Studio. She received the Alexander Graham Bell Award in 1989 and the Jamaica Computer Society Life Time Achievement Award in 2013.
Ms Green has chaired and served on public and private sector Boards, including the Consumer Affairs Commission (CAC), the Central Information Technology Organization, eGovernment Secretariat, and as Commissioner for the Jamaica Racing Commission (JRC), and the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Commission.
Ms Green has been very involved in civic activities, including as Convenor and Founding President of Chicago Concerned Jamaicans (CCJ) - a charitable organization which honoured her at its 25th Anniversary celebration in October 2012. She is also Convenor and current President of Women Business Owners Jamaica Ltd (WBO,) which was founded in 2003.
