Crafton Miller

Crafton Miller, BSc, N.P., J.P.

Mr Miller is an Attorney-at-Law, who was admitted to practice as a Barrister in the United Kingdom before being admitted to practice in Jamaica. In addition to his long and distinguished service to the legal profession, Mr Miller has had extensive experience in the fields of economics and tax administration including in the British civil service and the private sector in Jamaica and the United Kingdom. 

Mr Miller has contributed selflessly to the public good including though the provision of pro bono legal aid service to the poor, the spearheading of the fundraising initiative to acquire a home for the Jamaican Bar Association and General Legal Council, for which contribution he was awarded the President's Trophy, as a member of the Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Council, as an Executive Committee member of the Jamaican Bar Association, for significant financial contribution to the Supreme Court Law Library, the installation of a Public Address system in the Chief Justice's Court, and sponsorship of the Norman Manley Law School In-service Programme. Mr Miller has also been a major contributor to Education including through sponsorship for the schooling of 14 boys in the Downtown Kingston Area, financing facilities for his Alma Mater Excelsior High School and the Rose Hall Elementary School, significant contributions to scholarships for primary schools students attend Munro College, Hampton High Scholl, and the Black River High School among other institutions.

Mr Miller is very involved in civic activities, including service as a director of the Kingston Downtown Management Committee, member of the Anglican Church Committee and Lay Representative to Synod for St. Margaret's Church, holder of several Diocesan posts, Past Master of English and Scottish Lodges, and was founding member and driving force of the St Elizabeth Homecoming foundation. In 1996. Mr Miller received the Governor General's Achievement Award for the parish of Kingston.
