The Effects of 2100 MHz Radio Frequency Radiation on Thyroid Tissues

Issue:
DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2015.104
Pages:
51-5
Synopsis:
This study aimed to show the effect of 2100 MHz radio frequency radiation on the thyroid tissues of rats in early and late stages. According to the study, smart phones did not lead to significant biochemical and histopathological changes in the thyroid tissues of rats.

ABSTRACT

Objective: To reveal the effect of 2100 MHz radio frequency (RF) radiation on thyroid tissues of rats in the 10 days (group E1) and 40 days (group G1) exposure groups.

Effects of Ionizing Radiation on Respiratory Function Tests and Blood Parameters in Radiology Staff

Issue:
DOI:
10.7727/wimj.2012.311
Pages:
40–5
Synopsis:
Radiology staff constantly exposed to ionizing radiation was evaluated to determine the relationship between pulmonary function and blood parameters. Although the respiratory functions of radiology staff are affected by many factors, continuous exposure to ionizing radiation is one of the important parameters. Radiology staff should be informed about preventable factors that negatively affect respiratory functions.

ABSTRACT

Aim: To evaluate pulmonary function tests and blood parameters and their relationship with sociodemographic data for radiology staff continuously exposed to ionizing radiation.
