The Department of Mathematics and by extension the Faculty of Science and Technology expresses gratitude to its partners including FLOW Jamaica, Sagicor, Massy United Insurance, Grace Kennedy Ltd., Scotiabank, KRYS Global, Statistical Science Institute of Jamaica (STATIN), Ministry of Health & Wellness (MOHW) and Tax Administration of Jamaica (TAJ) that participated in the successful staging of the 9th Annual Mathematics Career Fair held on November 26, 2021. Among other benefits, the Fair served as an avenue for students to improve their soft skills in preparation for the world of work. FST Alum and the 2021 president-elect of Society of Actuaries (SOA), Mr. John W. Robinson delivered the guest presentation entitled, “How to Become an Actuary” where he encouraged each participant to take a leap of faith and to be fearless in their pursuit of success. The Fair was attended by thirty (30) finalising students majoring across all disciplines in the Department of Mathematics.
