Eligibility: 

The award is avaiable to registered full-time undergraduate students at the Mona Campus who are: 

  • Jamaican nationals
  • Graduates of the Sir Clifford Campbell Primary School

 

 

Criteria: 

The award will be base on: 

  • A record of high academic achievement by maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.0; 
  • Demonstrable financial need;
  • involvement in community or co-curricular activities or services;

 

Method of Selection: 

Shortlisted candidate(s) will be interviewed by a panel comprising of the UWI and the donor

Condition: 

Students must submit an original essay of no more than one thousand (1000) words. The essay shall be the applicant's own work and no part thereof shall be generated using artificial intelligence or copies from another source, except where properly cited.  The essay shall be on one of the following:

  • Why is it important to give back to communities in Jamaica; or 
  • The role a university education plays in Jamaica's socio-economic development.

If the recipient fails to maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA at the end of semester one, the scholarship recipient forfeits the remainder of the scholarship.
