Eligibility: 

The Bursary is open to Jamaican Nationals who:

  • Are graduates of The St. Jago High School;

  • Are undergraduate students pursuing a MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery)

    degree at the University of the West Indies Mona Campus.

Criteria: 

The award will be based on:

  • Verifiable financial need;
  • a GPA of at least 3.0 for students in years 2 to 5 of the MBBS programme.
Method of Selection: 
  • The Bursary would be advertised by the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus;
  • Shortlisted candidates would be interviewed by a panel comprising personnel from the University, and members of Class of 1978-5A's Committee.
Please Note: 

The interview process can be waived if there is only one eligible candidate.
