Eligibility:

The award is available to Full time student registered in any Faculty of Engineering.

Recipients must be in 2nd Year (Entering Final Year) of study and pursuing BSc. in Electrical Power Engineering at the UWI, Mona campus.

Criteria:

The award will be based on:

Academic performance based on the results of the previous year University examinations (minimum GPA of 3.0).
Verifiable financial need;
Demonstrates leadership qualities, volunteerism and social involvement.

Method of Selection:

Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel consisting of representatives from the donor company and UWI Development and Endowment Fund.

Condition:

The following terms and conditions apply:

Participation in facility tours, meetings and other forms of engagement with sponsors.
Student may be in receipt of a student loan but still in financial need.

Special Requirements:

The recipient of this award will:

Be available for a photo opportunity and provide written testimony on the usefulness of the assistance granted.
Be available to participate in any official ceremony related to the formal presentation of the scholarship award.
