Examinations without attending lectures or Exams only is simply a request to sit only the final examination for a course and not the mid-semester exam or coursework. As such, an approved student would not be required to attend lectures.
Students who have missed a final examination for reasons deemed to be extenuating circumstances (e.g., medical, bereavement, national service).
Part-time students who may have missed an examination due to work obligations.
The Board of Examiners may recommend to the relevant Department that a student who has marginally failed the final one or two course(s) required for completion of the degree at the end of the final year be permitted to sit examinations only in those course(s). This is provided that, in each instance, the student has obtained a mark corresponding to a grade of no less than 45%.
