Exemption from Other Universities

  1.  A student transferring from another university to pursue a UWI degree must complete a minimum of two years full-time study, or 60 credits, at The UWI.
  2.  A student who already holds a first degree from any institution and is pursuing another first degree will not be granted exemptions with credit from the previous programme, except for Foundation courses in the case of UWI graduates.
  3.  For courses not already included on the Faculty’s approved list, students must submit the relevant course outlines to the Faculty Office for departmental assessment of equivalency. Courses  determined by the department to be equivalent to UWI courses will qualify students for exemption with credit, subject to the maximum limit specified in point 1 above.
  4.  Exemption without credit may be granted for any course(s) that exceed the limit indicated.
