Exemption from Other Universities

(a) A student transferring from another university to pursue a UWI degree must complete a minimum of two years of full-time study, or 60 credits, at The UWI.

(b) Unless the relevant departments already hold records of the courses previously completed, course outlines must be submitted for departmental assessment. Any courses approved by departments will earn the student exemption with credit for equivalent UWI courses, up to the limit indicated above.

(c) Exemption without credit may be granted for any course(s) that exceed the limit indicated.

(d) A student who already holds a first degree from any institution and is pursuing another first degree will not be granted exemptions with credit from the previous programme, except for Foundation courses in the case of UWI graduates.
